EBIF fixes that.

What's EBIF? It's the technical name (Enhanced Binary Interchange Format) for a standardized way to do interactive TV, at a national scale. It's big because of its reach to millions of households across multiple cable systems. That's a lot of eyeballs.

Now, interactive TV can do what it's always intended to do: Increase programming ratings, improve advertising effectiveness, and create a competitive advantage over other video formats.

By working together, cable operators, CableLabs and the EBIF vendor community are making it easy to deploy ITV-at the programming and advertising levels.
